Scan Business Systems, a leading provider of
Student Information Systems, today announced
the addition of Fisher College to its list
of clients using Campus Cafe.
In an effort to increase productivity and
service levels, Fisher had decided that its
existing POISE system did not meet its
needs. Campus Cafe will enable students to
have access to vital information such as
class schedules, online registration &
payments, as well as degree audits and
enrollment history.
"After visiting some Scan clients I was able
to see first hand how Campus Cafe would help
us to become more efficient," said Steve
Rich, CFO of Fisher College. "The Campus
Web Services module empowers our students to
do things like register for classes and make
payments online. I expect this investment
to pay for itself many times over."
"After an exhaustive effort evaluating the
marketplace, it was clear that Campus Cafe
had the most to offer to a school of our
size with limited resources," said John
Ohotnicky, Registrar of Fisher College.
"Having a truly integrated system with a
single repository of data increases our
ability to share information and avoid
duplicating the hard work of other offices."
The implementation of Campus Cafe began in
November and is expected to be completed for
Fall '03 enrollment.
"We're very excited to have Fisher College
on board," said Joe Stefaniak, President of
Scan Business Systems. "Our ability to
offer the only pure Java product that is
truly cross-platform separates us from other
vendors. This is the best guarantee to our
clients to remain in control of their system
and avoid being tied to any proprietary
technologies."
