Cambridge, MA - May 6,
2003 - Today, Scan
Business Systems announced the
addition of Weston Jesuit School of
Theology to its list of clients
running Scan's cross-platform, Java
based, Campus Cafe.
"As a
small institution, we were pleased
to find an integrated solution that
would enable us to offer our
students the highest service levels
possible and help us to improve our
marketing techniques and
strategies," said Karen McLennan,
Director of Admissions and Financial
Aid at Weston Jesuit.
Scan began the implementation
process in the fall of '02. Both
the Admissions and Development
Offices have gone live on Campus
Cafe, while the Business Office and
Registrar are scheduled to be up and
running this summer.
"The addition of Weston Jesuit to
our list of clients is a perfect
example of how Campus Cafe can meet
the needs of small to mid size
institutions" said Joe Stefaniak,
President of Scan Business Systems.
"While Weston Jesuit is one of our
smallest clients, they will now have
the tools to remain competitive with
larger institutions. Our strategy
in developing Campus Cafe is
centered on offering a cross
platform, Java-based tool that not
only satisfies the requirements of
end users but does so without
requiring an increase to existing IT
infrastructures."
"Scan devotes all of its efforts and
resources towards the middle
market." said Chris Caron, Director
of Sales at Scan. "We have heard
from so many institutions that they
are concerned about the long term
viability of their current package
and their vendor's commitment to its
development and support. We have
always had only one product and we
maintain our focus on serving small
to mid size schools. To our
clients, this means that they have
significant investment protection.
In today's market, schools are
looking beyond the issue of which
package is the best functional fit
to include which vendor has a track
record of being a trusted long term
partner."
